Hello-
I love Penny in the catalog, but was wondering what she is like in person. Is she durable, I heard that she is light weight like felicity's lamb and not like Sombrita, so I was wondering how she would hold up. Is she worth the $$$?

Thanks! What you described sounds perfect and I can just imagine how cute Felicity would be astride her.

My daughter Nicki has Penny. She certainly isn't lightweight. She's maybe not as heavy proportionately as Sombrita, but she's far from hollow. Nicki likes her a lot, but to be honest, she doesn't play with her all that much. Nicki is going on 12 now though, so maybe she would have if she'd had her when she was younger. She mostly uses her for display, or brushes her mane and tail. My biggest problem with Penny is that she is so big-our house is getting overrun with AG stuff.
Anyway, to answer your question, in IMHO, you would be pleased with her quality.

Penny is great! If you have Felicity, you simply must have Penny. I mean it's PENNY! LOL I mostly use her for display, but I mostly display ALL my AG stuff.
She's heavy enough to be very well made but not SO heavy you need a crane to move her.

DD has had Penny since she was about 7 years old. Penny is nice and sturdy. Her mane and tail are hair like on a doll's head so the mane and tail can be braided and brushed. The body is covered in some kind of velvet like cloth. She is big and really is used more for display than play. She would look great with Felicity's new carriage.
